Recently, I have noticed that websites want more information than just your username and password.  In order to "increase security", they are asking for you to pick some questions and answers.  Here are some examples:

What city were you born in?
What is your mother's maiden name?
What high school did you graduate from?
What was the name of the street you grew up on?

...etc

I have also noticed that different web sites will have different questions.  Is is just me or is some of that information too personal?  Am I just being paranoid?  I'm thinking if the questions/answers I've been filling in were all compiled into one database, someone would know more than they should about me.  So what do you do?

Here's my suggestion:  Come up with a phrase or word that you put in for every question and for every website:

What city were you born in?  --> LetMeIn
What is your mother's maiden name?  --> LetMeIn
What high school did you graduate from?  --> LetMeIn
What was the name of the street you grew up on?  --> LetMeIn

What do you think?
